Based on the principle to develop a home that functions as a self-contained resort, the Salzer residence expansion captured the essence of the site beauty and developed a series of outside rooms that create a blending of the functional spaces and nature. A landscape grotto that traverses the home provides a unique blend of soft and hard elements. The project was awarded best remodeling by the Texas Association of Homebuilders in 2005.
